Ballycotton Harbour

Beautiful Ballycotton, "a gem set in an emerald coastline" is a picturesque cliff-side fishing village situated on a rocky ledge overlooking Ballycotton Bay. The pier was completed in 1895. It is here that the present Lifeboat is berthed among the fishing boats and pleasure craft. In former years doctors of repute prescribed a week in Ballycotton for patients suffering from fatigue and to the present day the invigorating air and old world charm are most relaxing.
